Our hockey club consists of  girls representing the Scarborough Sharks Hockey Club organization at the Intermediate A level.

The Scarborough Sharks organization, marking their 27th anniversary this upcoming season, has teams playing at the major (AA) level in age groups from Novice (9) to Intermediate (21). Major AA hockey is an elite level, the highest caliber of competitive girls hockey available. To play at this level is both an honor and privilege for the girls. Hockey and scholastic development are the key components in the Scarborough Sharks program. Many girls who have played through the Scarborough Sharks system to the Intermediate level have gone on to play at the university level in Canada & the USA.

Our Intermediate A Team plays out of the North Metro Girls Hockey League (NMGHL.), the most competitive girls league in the province. The team will play approx. 60 games this season, including a 24 game schedule throughout Metro and the Greater Toronto Area including Markham, Mississauga, North York, Durham, Barrie and Scarborough. Tournament games will be played throughout Ontario.

Registration fees this year are $1,200.00 per player, a high rate for most parents. Due to the high cost of ice time, equipment, and other hockey essentials, sponsorship dollars become a very important component of our hockey program. Sponsorship money means that parents will not be approached continuously for funds - the team operating costs this year will top $20,000 dollars. Sponsorship money also means the team will have the essentials for a successful hockey program both on and off the ice.

Our approach to sponsorship is simple - we look to sponsorship as a partnership. Crested on the back of the sweaters will be the name of the sponsor, keeping in mind our game schedule, status and the exposure level created for any potential sponsor. For sponsorship, we will crest a home or away jersey with Sponsor's name .
